Editing Done!

Editing looks all about done and looking good, and i am very proud of what i produce. while that is all done and have changed my edit a bit by now adding in some the archive footage into the video which was recommended by the teacher and i did not think it would of worked at first yet but in fact it did so i apologise for dowting the idea. all i need to do now is to finish off all the paper work and make sure everything i need in there is and have done everything. i will be giving in all the producing work that i have done.

Filming done and starting to edit! (late post)

Last Tuesday we filmed our music video and it was a success, organising and planning worked well for us and glad we done it, testing shot really helped us see how i music video would look like and on filming day. It showed that our organising and planning works well in these situation. I feel so relived that we are done and now the editing will start. Our Actor/Bass player Edward was really good on what he had to do and co-operated well within the group, also Jamie helped us with the logging sheet so that was a massive help since josh was Director and DOP. Matt was brilliant for us as a lead singing. and josh did brilliant as a director and DOP and the projection video went fantastically well. We used the projection for the light.

i am at the moment editing my music video and so far there has not been any major problems trying to sic up the video with the music. The only real little problem is trying to match up the background and not to make it out of shape and not make it look stupid. Make sure that the cuts are on beat and also in time. I'v been asked to add a Warning sign to warn viewers of flashing image.

Video Projector film finished and getting everything sorted.

Due to me being ill yesterday, josh finished of the project film and added in the scenes that were missing before. so now we can start filming and get everything done. 

Also i was meant to post this before we left half term, me and josh did a test shot on our music video and seeing how it looked and see if everything worked and everything went well. we are hoping to film very soon ! and get ever done! got pictures here to show us setting up and seeing how the projected will look on the band but in this shot i'm the test. After the the test shots, it taught me and josh that everything does not quite always go to plan when the projector wouldn't work for ages so that took a little bit of time, but we now know what to do and how to set it up 

We have managed to book the dance studio next Tuesday so we are hoping that we can get all the filming done then.

Like i said before we have out band members to play for our music video, and if one of the members can't do it, i can also go in his place and we have back ups just in case. we also have the instruments already guitar,bass and possible if needed drums. got camera since josh has his own camera , just need to book a tripod and also projector.  

The Evidence

i am showing you evidence again about me asking Jayne Jones, if we could book the dance studio this thursday to do some test shooting.

Also shows you evidence that i have book the Dance studio on the week after half term which will be our film day and hopefully we will finish. we have finished our video to project on to the wall in the dance studio room. we will also have the song on C.D. to give us a better idea and use the advantage of the sound system in the dance studio.

we have also thought of an idea at the start to fill in the pause at the start is that we are going to have a clip of the guitars plugging his guitar into a amplifier. sorta like this:

and this it will go straight into the song and with the countdown and then straight into the band playing and singing.

I think this will be good and the director also thinks it be a great idea to do this because it kinda like that it makes it more modern look to the song.

it be a good look for the music video and you be able to have a good camera shot and angles.

Call Out Sheet

Just Finishing off the call out sheet for the cast who are helping me in the music video i am producing, i have put the details on how to get to the college from were they are from by car,bus,train and of course told them the address, the date of filming will me on March 3rd at 9.00 am for two days.  we have our 4 band members and also we have helpers to help us with the lighting and holding out equipment.

Finish !!

We have change our location from the big room to the dance studio due to the dance studio having a big white wall instead of the big room having a small white wall and also because the dance studio has a big white wall its allows us to have more space to film and allows to have a bigger area to shoot and better angels.  We have decided to film on the March 3rd we have booked the project for that day, we are also trying to get some test shots in sometime this week to see how good we can do it.  i will be bring in some props to bring to help with the video, for example guitars and bass.

we are test shooting on thursday 9am - 11am hoping to get some clips and hoping anything will work.

Filming Date Set

Yes, the filming date has been set and we will be ready to go and film by then, filming we be done in 2 weeks time. cast have been sorted we have organised the cast and i will be observing them on a rehearsal sometime this week most likely Wednesday to see if they are ready for filming and know all the words. currently editing the projected achieve footage which will be projected in-front of the bad while they are playing. like you have seen before we are hoping to be something like this : 

Director is are playing to take shots of the band playing individually as well playing all together so   we will have different shots we can use for out film. we also have found locations we will need the big room is obvious the main one and also a deserted train track so we can film the part with the line "forget it about it brother, you can go it alone" we are planning to get someone walking by them selfs  down a deserted railway track.

StoryBoard

Storyboard is on its way since director had to make changes since (like i said in my last post) he changed the idea he wanted for the music video. currently negotiating with people to be in our video, we have a have a couple people who are willing to help us a be in the music video we also have a band which are the main feature of our music video. we thought it be a good idea to do this type of style because it different to the accrual video.

we book the "Big Room" last week and we tried out the projector shots and when looking over the video the shots worked out well.

in my opinion these test shots will work out even better with a band in front of it with bright colour so they stand out more while in the photos I'm where dark clothes. we did't have a few problems when shooting the test shots but then we changed the shutter speed and messed with the apitcher and got the quality pictures we have. 

Change of IDEA!

After much negotiation the director (Josh Cole),  he has changed his idea. first idea for "london calling" was that he would want a pirate radio style themed music video. Something like this:

but now he has now changed it to a more performance based music video with a band and having them playing in front of a projector screen and you projector showing clips of video. Something like this:

he has changed the idea because he thinks that the second idea more suits the song then the first idea. he likes the style of the band performing with certain clips playing in the back ground like war clips from london and old archive footage.  

Booking the Big Room

I have booked the bring room this afternoon so that josh can take test shots on to see if what he wants will work with the lighting.

Finding Locations

Me and Josh are currently sorting out the locations that we will need for a music video, the ideas we have currently is that we will need the big room in the college for the green screen for certain clips for the song. We will also need the recording studio for the actor to sing to the mic to make it look like he is singing to the world via radio in his pirate radio. josh is also asking if i can find a abandon train track for a clip of a guy walking on his own for one of the verses.

Story Board so far

Director Josh has started the story board and what i'v seen so far it looks really good and it is do able.

He's got a good vision and i am liking the ideas that he is coming up with.

Calling London

i have been picked to be a producer for a music video. i have picked the song london calling which talks about the problems of london during the time. I am going to do a production Schedule to make sure what we need to do and by when.

this is what i got so far with the production schedule making sure that the director josh knows what to do and when to do it by when.  i will make sure everything will be done by the deadline!.
